Planning Your Project.
Once you are happy with the draft scheme, we then complete your drawings for planning submission.*
We supply the planning validation officers with all relevant documents required to register your application. Different local authorities have their own local requirements and further specialist surveys may be required such as Arboricultural or Ecologist reports. We can source this for you at an additional cost.
We offer a full planning service and submit your application as your agent and monitor it during its course.
* Planning approval isn’t required for every project.
Building Regulations.
When your project is ready for building regulations submission, structural calculations and the latest specifications are added to your drawings, ready to be submitted to the local authority for building regulation approval.
We are part of the local building control partnership which means we can get our applications decided a lot quicker than most as we are one of their biggest customers.
Once we receive approval from building control, the decision will be sent to you with the approved drawings and structural calculations. The approval for both planning* and building regulations are usually valid for three years and work must start within this time.
The approved plans and structural calculations provide all the information for your builder to quote and carry out the works.
