With a growing family, our client needed an extra bedroom. A large dormer on the back of the house can add a great deal of usable space and in this instance, a great space for an additional bathroom. In most cases, rear dormers can be constructed without the need for planning permission, however, front dormers require planning permission which we submitted on behalf of the client. A front dormer adds interest to the front of the property whilst also creating more usable floor space in the new bedroom.
