This property is located in Drayton, Portsmouth and has been transformed from a small house into a large family home which suits the plot far better.
The initial feasibility took place with the client with an open mind to the amount of work that would need to take place to achieve his desired home. The works that would need to be take place included a single-storey rear extension – which internally had vaulted ceilings. A two-storey side extension which not only increased the Ground & First Floor levels but also allowed for a larger loft space and finally a loft conversion.
The style – inside and out – was completely modernised and externally the final finish was a mixture of facing brick, render and slate roof tiles which worked perfectly. The dormers, due to the height within the roof space, could also be smaller with pitched roofs as opposed to larger bulkier designs.
Overall the project was designed and completed with the client’s requirements and vision in mind and the finished construction looks fantastic.
