This property was a narrow two-storey, three bedroom property based in Swanmore.
During our initial feasibility service the client had a good idea of what she needed to achieve which was more family space on the ground floor and an extra bedroom within the loft. To achieve this we proposed to construct a new single-storey rear extension and create a master suite – including en-suite – in the existing loft space.
Once back in our office, following our measured survey, the concept became a reality as we added another fifty percent to the existing Lounge with a rear extension. The extension was proposed to match the existing brickwork and roof tiles which as you can see was accomplished. The addition of two roof lights also managed to gain extra natural light into the now larger Lounge Area.
To produce the master suite the client desired we took our new staircase over the top of the existing flight of stairs to gain access onto the proposed Second Floor. At this level, using a rear dormer, we managed to create a large, practical and usable loft room with a bathroom sized en-suite accessible from the proposed bedroom.
As you will see from the images the final finish was excellent and the appointed contractor was a loft conversion specialist which meant the workmanship on the loft – and extension – was of the highest quality. The client was pleased with each stage of the project from design to construction and ultimately her now larger more personalised home.
