Our clients came to us with an already converted loft space but wanted to maximise its potential and make the most of the existing property’s footprint. Slight alterations inside and small extensions to the existing dormer windows we managed to transform a cramped box room and tiny bathroom into a large double bedroom with full en-suite and an additional family bathroom with very little impact to the appearance of the building.
All materials and finishes were to match the existing to keep the property in keeping with the area whilst applying to the planning design guidance. Carrying the main roof towards the south slightly made the space needed for the extended dormers but also created a small shaded canopy to the garden level supported with brick pillars which gave the building a unique and modern look that ties into the building nicely.
